SALOMON X SOLEIL IGNACIO: A LOCAL EXPRESSION FILIPINO ARTISTRY

Salomon Philippines collaborates with Soleil Ignacio to bring the XT-ICONS FORMS collection to life through a localized tee depicting icons of Manila and unique community experiences.

The XT franchise has long been defined by its distinctive forms, layered construction, and unmistakable visual language. First developed for technical trail running, the XT franchise was built for unpredictable terrain, where grip and endurance were essential. Designed through a performance-first lens, the models were made to prioritize function in demanding outdoor environments. As the silhouettes have been embraced across new contexts, those technical foundations now extend into everyday wear, built for both performance settings and everyday movement.

With XT-ICONS FORMS Collection, Salomon explores the relationship between these iconic silhouettes and the creative expressions that surround them. In the Philippines, this takes shape through a collaboration with a local artist, bringing a distinctly local perspective to the collection through the design of localized shirts, a pop-up tattoo experience, and a flower arrangement workshop.

Reimagining the Icons

At the heart of the collaboration is Soleil Ignacio, a digital illustrator, florist, and outdoor enthusiast, whose creative practice is best known for bringing together her passions, the awe of nature, and a unique way of telling the story of Filipina beauty. Salomon’s collaboration with Soleil blends a modern take on Manila’s icons with Salomon’s outdoor heritage and Soleil’s own personal touch.

Of Florals and Inks

To launch the collaboration, Salomon Philippines held a pop-up tattoo event at Salomon MOA on August 29, 2026. Soleil created a Salomon exclusive flash set where customers and fans may pick a tattoo of their choice to be permanently inked in their skin upon purchasing the limited-edition Salomon x Soleil Ignacio Manila Tees. The experience also offered temporary tattoos and sticker packs to allow more people to take part in the event.

On a separate day, Salomon gathered some creatives for an intimate flower arrangement activity with Soleil, bringing together her passion for floristry and Salomon’s appreciation for distinctive forms. The event highlighted the XT-ICONS FORMS collection. The XT-6, XT-WHISPER, XT-4, and the XT Pathway are now in a new color pack pairing deep blues with natural beige tones.

The understated palette shifts the focus to the shoes themselves, the layered construction, detailing, and distinctive lines that have long defined the XT franchise.

“The FORMS collection celebrates the distinctive lines and layered construction that have made the XT franchise an icon, while giving each style a fresh expression,” explained Salomon Marketing Manager Cristelle Corpuz. “Our collaboration with Soleil Ignacio brings that same creative approach to life. Through this flower arrangement activity, we explored how different elements can come together to create something expressive, dynamic, and uniquely individual, much like the XT-ICONS FORMS collection itself.”

The workshop invited participants to explore the relationship between shape, texture, and composition through floral arrangements. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, the activity offered a different way to engage with the XT-ICONS FORMS collection: one that moved beyond the visual language of footwear and into a hands-on creative experience.

Tattoos and flowers became mediums for self-expression, while the workshop created an opportunity for the community to connect, learn, and create alongside Soleil. It was a reflection of the collection’s broader creative spirit: finding inspiration in unexpected places and transforming it into something uniquely personal.

Where the Wild Meets the Creative

With Soleil, the XT-ICONS FORMS collection becomes more than a celebration of iconic silhouettes. It becomes an invitation to discover new forms of expression: rooted in the wild, shaped by creativity, and made for the world around us. The XT-ICONS FORMS collection is now available at Salomon stores and at ph.salomon.com. Meanwhile, the limited-edition Salomon Manila Tees designed by Soleil will also be available at Salomon Edsa Shangri-La on September 19, 2026 through another pop-up tattoo event.
